Introductie
Wat is VCF Automation?
VCF Automation is de self-service en orchestration laag van VCF 9. Het biedt eindgebruikers (tenants, developers) een service catalog en geeft platform teams Infrastructure as Code tools, allemaal met enterprise governance.
Transitie
Vervanging van Aria Automation
VCF Automation is de rechtstreekse opvolger van Aria Automation (voorheen vRealize Automation). Wel met significante wijzigingen: legacy automation pipelines uit Aria Automation 8.x zijn niet beschikbaar in VCF Automation 9, projecten migreren naar Cloud Assembly workflows.

Werkwijze
Self-Service IaaS Workflow
Developers of tenants vragen een resource aan via de Service Broker. Policies bepalen approvals en quotas. Cloud Assembly deployed de infra (VMs, K8s namespaces, netwerken) op VCF. Resources hebben leases voor automatische cleanup.
