What is vSAN 9?

vSAN 9 is the software-defined storage layer of VMware Cloud Foundation 9. It combines local disks from ESXi 9 hosts into one shared, distributed datastore. In VCF 9 vSAN is the default storage for vSphere and VKS workloads, managed via policies and integrated with VCF Operations.
